Role Overview

Mercor is hiring seasoned Retail & E-Commerce professionals to join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. You will help develop and evaluate advanced AI systems that mimic real-world retail and e-commerce workflows—such as inventory forecasting, product content optimization, and campaign performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate Retail & E-Commerce outputs (e.g., forecasting reports, merchandising plans, performance dashboards) generated by AI systems for quality and accuracy

• Calibrate AI decision-making processes in tasks such as SKU replenishment proposals, shelf planogram resets, and ROI calculations.

• Create domain assets—e.g., inventory-replenishment playbooks, product-content guidelines, performance-reporting templates.

• Collaborate asynchronously with product and AI teams to improve systems

Ideal Qualifications

• [REQUIRED] 3+ years of experience in a Retail & E-commerce related roles Retail Operations, E-Commerce Merchandising, Category Management, Supply-Chain Planning, OR a Graduate education

• Strong proficiency in demand forecasting, open-to-buy budgeting, GMV / revenue KPI analysis, and merchandising metrics

• Experience creating retail assets such as store scorecards, inventory models, product-content libraries, and campaign-ROI dashboards

• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills

Project Timeline

• Start Date: July 17th

• Duration: 6 weeks

• Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
