Agricultural Science Expert

Mercor is seeking Agricultural Science experts to collaborate with leading AI research labs in developing intelligent systems that understand and support complex agricultural challenges. You will apply your scientific expertise in areas like crop science, soil health, pest management, agricultural systems, and sustainability to shape how cutting-edge AI models reason about real-world agriculture. You will work to train AI models on domain-specific logic and scientific best practices—ensuring they reflect the precision, nuance, and critical thinking used by leading agricultural scientists.

Why are you a good fit

You are an ideal candidate, if you-

• Have 5+ years of research or applied science experience in agriculture or agri-environmental systems.

• Hold a PhD degree in agricultural science or related field from top US university.

• Have strong attention to details

• Have strong verbal and written communication skills

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
