Senior Software Engineer

Mercor is recruiting Senior Software Engineers based in the U.S. and Europe for research projects with leading AI labs.

These projects involve a variety of common programming tasks, including debugging, refactoring, and writing test cases for complex code repositories.

You are a good fit if you:

• Have deep expertise in various coding languages, including Python, JS, TS, Rust, Go, and C#

• Have 3+ years of industry experience, ideally at a prestigious tech company

• Or, you have comparably large-scale contributions to complex open-source projects

Here are more details about the role:

• You will interface with prominent AI researchers from top labs

• We expect a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, but you can work up to 40 hours per week, depending on the quality of work

• Successful contributions increase the odds that you will be selected for future projects with Mercor

• We can meet industry-standard compensation expectations for your current role

• Please note that the advertised pay range is for U.S.-based applicants; the pay range will vary depending on where you're geographically based, but we aim to keep compensation competitive for all geographic areas

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
