Biology Intelligence Analyst

Role Overview: Mercor is seeking PhD Biologists to work on a long-term research project with a leading AI lab to improve AI systems on biology research and analysis tasks. You will contribute to a first of it’s kind public benchmark assessing frontier agentic model capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Have a PhD from a distinguished program in the field of biology or related sub-domains (i.e., microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, evolutionary biology)

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting experimental results, identifying patterns, and drawing ground conclusions

• Excellent attention to detail and written communication

Job Details:

• You can work part-time (~20+ hours per week)

• This position is structured with clear expectations, but is not a high-pressure environment

Pay and Legal Status:

• The hourly rate for the role is 70-90 USD/hr for US-based candidates

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
