Personal Accountant

Role Overview Mercor is working with a frontier AI lab to engage experienced personal accountants for a project focused on improving AI systems’ understanding of individual and household financial management. This opportunity involves reviewing AI-generated content related to tax preparation, budgeting, and personal finance guidance. It’s ideal for seasoned accounting professionals who want to apply their practical knowledge to support the development of smarter financial tools. This is a short-term, remote engagement with flexible hours.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated tax advice, budget plans, and personal financial content for accuracy and clarity

• Review model outputs for common accounting scenarios such as deductions, income reporting, and expense tracking

• Provide feedback and corrections to improve model performance

• Collaborate with AI teams to simulate real-world personal finance use cases

3. Ideal Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a personal accountant, tax preparer, or financial advisor

• CPA certification or equivalent professional credentials preferred

• Deep knowledge of U.S. tax code, personal budgeting strategies, and financial planning

• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

• Comfort using digital tools and working independently

Contract and Payment Terms
