We are looking for an engineer with expertise in software for creative professionals to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.
Your expertise in building and supporting systems for creative professionals—including media production tools, design pipelines, content platforms, and real-time collaboration environments—will ensure each prompt and response reflects how engineers help power modern digital creativity. You’ll help shape how AI understands design workflows, asset pipelines, rendering systems, and creative automation—ideally including experience with scripting or APIs for tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Unreal Engine, or media asset management platforms.
You are a good fit if you:
-
Have over 3+ years of professional experience supporting or building tools for creative teams in media, marketing, entertainment, or design environments
-
Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Media Technology, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience in creative tech engineering)
-
Are currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, UK, or Australia
-
Have worked on projects involving digital asset management (DAM), collaborative design tools, real-time rendering systems, post-production workflows, or media pipeline automation
-
Are familiar with environments like VFX production, digital publishing, or creative campaign tooling
-
Can document systems clearly and explain technical implementations across technical and non-technical teams
Role Highlights
-
Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.
-
Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.
Role Start Date
- This role will begin in mid to late-August with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Interview Process
-
You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in creative software engineering, pipeline support, and technical tooling for designers or media teams.
-
You will share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about a creative tech scenario.
-
You will evaluate and compare LLM outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate.
-
Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the accuracy and quality of their evaluations.
Apply today and redefine digital creativity alongside groundbreaking AI technologies!

- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
- Please note: We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
