Mathematics Expert (Problem Writing)

Mercor is seeking Mathematics Experts for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs.

In this role, you will contribute your subject matter expertise to a cutting-edge project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Specifically, you will help create high-quality data that will inform the future of AI innovation by coming up with difficult problems in your domain.

You're a good fit if you:

• Have a Masters or PhD in Applied and/or Pure Maths from a top US, UK, Australian, NZ or Canadian university.

• Have high attention to detail.

• Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Have excellent proficiency in English.

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: must be able to contribute 20+ hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

• Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.

Role Start Date

• This role will begin in early to mid-August with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

• You will need to complete a short interview of around 20 mins to complete your application.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.

• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
