French Bilingual Generalist

Mercor is seeking native French speakers who live in France for a short-term project with a leading AI lab. These candidates should have excellent written and verbal French skills as well as intimate familiarity with French culture.

This role begins as early as August 10.

Role Responsibilities

• Synthesize personal expertise to write documentation to help train AI models.

• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to refine documentation and perfect write-ups.

• Identify domain-specific local language and cultural nuances of different hobbies and day-to-day life.

• Provide linguistic or culturally relevant insights that help improve model behavior in French contexts.

Ideal Candidates Should Have:

• Native-Level Proficiency: Fluent in French and strong English comprehension.

• Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree.

• Analytical Abilities: Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• Nice to Haves

  • Experience with grading, instructional design, or rubric development is a plus.

  • Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts is a bonus, but not required.

More Details About This Role:

• Expect to contribute at least 20 hours per week.

• You’ll be working in a structured project environment with clear goals and tools.

• This role begins as early as August 10; you must be available to begin in the next few days.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
