Role Overview

Mercor is seeking hobby obsessives. Know so much about your hobby that your friends and family come to you for advice? Active on forums for your hobby? Keep up to date with the latest gear? Then you’re likely a fit.

**Whether your passion lies in fashion, cooking, cars, tech, outdoor gear, or beyond — we’re seeking individuals who can offer expert-level guidance and product recommendations in their area of expertise. This is a unique opportunity to channel your personal passion into frontier AI research by helping models better understand niche, real-world domains.**

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of deep experience or 10,000+ hours spent in a specific hobby or interest area

• Recognized within your community (e.g., active forum contributor, known reviewer, product tester)

• Ability to explain nuanced choices and trade-offs in product selection

• Clear, concise written communication skills

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 5 weeks

• Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week

Application & Onboarding Process

2. Model Training AI Interview A 30-minute conversational session designed to assess your ability to train a model in your area of expertise.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
