Legal Intern

We are looking for Legal Interns to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train advanced AI systems.

Your experience in legal research, legal writing, case analysis, and familiarity with U.S., U.K., or Canadian legal systems will ensure that each prompt and response is accurate, precise, and aligned with real-world legal reasoning. This is an opportunity to help shape how AI understands, processes, and interacts with legal information.

You are good fit if you:

• Have internship experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, government agency, or legal research organization, especially in the U.S., U.K., or Canada.

• Are currently pursuing or have recently completed a J.D., LL.B., or equivalent law degree from a top U.S., Canadian, or U.K. university.

• Have strong experience in legal research and legal writing, including case law analysis and drafting legal memoranda.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Have high attention to detail and a deep respect for legal precision.

• Are currently based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada.

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.

Role Start Date

• This role will begin in mid to late-August with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
