Creative Arts Experts

Mercor is hiring experienced Creative Arts professionals to support high-impact projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We welcome specialists across writing, copy and editorial, graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, film/video, motion graphics, and related disciplines. Freelancers will use their craft expertise to evaluate, refine, and create examples that guide AI systems toward on-brand, high-quality creative outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine AI-generated copy, scripts, storyboards, images, layouts, videos, animations, and design assets

• Create or update brand/style guides and enforce voice, tone, and visual consistency

• Provide structured critiques with clear rationale and actionable revisions

• Curate reference sets; tag assets by genre, mood, style, era, medium, and audience

• Write prompts and playbooks for image, video, and text generation; test edge cases

• Build exemplar assets (before/after) and creative briefs for model alignment

• Perform creative QA for specs (resolution, color, typography, aspect ratio, captions/subtitles)

• Flag potential policy, accessibility, or rights/risk concerns for review

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in one or more creative disciplines (e.g., copywriting/editorial, screenwriting, graphic design, illustration, animation, photography, cinematography, video editing, motion design)

• A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating craft, originality, and range

• Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Procreate, Blender/Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, After Effects)

• Solid grasp of composition, color, typography, narrative structure, pacing, and brand systems

• Experience writing clear feedback, creative briefs, and production-ready guidelines

• Familiarity with generative creative tools and basic accessibility best practices (alt text, captions) is a plus

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 1–2 months

• Commitment: Part-time (15–25 hours/week, with flexibility up to 40 hours/week)

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
