Human Resources Expert

Mercor is hiring experienced HR and People Operations professionals to support high-impact projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We are looking for professionals with real-world experience in human resources, recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and organizational design. Freelancers will use their HR and people expertise to evaluate, refine, and verify AI outputs related to workplace management, people policies, and talent operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and refine AI-generated HR policies, handbooks, and process documentation

• Evaluate outputs related to recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, or performance management

• Provide structured feedback on compliance, clarity, and HR best practices

• Stress-test AI outputs against real-world HR scenarios (employee relations, disciplinary actions, retention strategies)

• Tag and organize HR/People Ops content by function (recruiting, learning & development, compensation, compliance)

• Support benchmarking efforts to assess AI model capabilities in HR and organizational contexts

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or related roles

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (Bachelor’s minimum; advanced degree or SHRM/PHR preferred)

• Strong knowledge of HR practices across recruiting, employee relations, compensation, and compliance

• Familiarity with HR systems (Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, or similar)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clear, structured feedback

• Empathy and judgment in evaluating sensitive workplace issues

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 1–2 months

• Commitment: Part-time (15–25 hours/week, with flexibility up to 40 hours/week)

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
