IT Expert

Mercor is hiring experienced IT professionals to support high-impact projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We welcome professionals across IT support, systems administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise IT. Freelancers will apply their expertise to evaluate, refine, and verify AI-generated outputs related to IT systems, troubleshooting, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate AI-generated troubleshooting guides, IT policies, and system documentation

• Test AI recommendations for help desk, system setup, or incident response workflows

• Provide structured feedback on clarity, accuracy, and alignment with IT best practices

• Stress-test AI outputs on edge cases in networking, system security, and infrastructure scaling

• Tag and organize content by IT domain (end-user support, networking, cloud, security, enterprise systems)

• Support benchmarking efforts to assess AI capabilities in IT service management contexts

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, networking, or related roles

• Degree or certifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields (CompTIA, CCNA, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications preferred)

• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting, security, and enterprise IT operations

• Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, Zendesk) and monitoring tools

• Excellent written communication skills; ability to document processes and feedback clearly

• Attention to detail and judgment when handling sensitive systems or security issues

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 1–2 months

• Commitment: Part-time (15–25 hours/week, with flexibility up to 40 hours/week)

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
