Bioengineering Expert

Mercor is hiring experienced Bioengineering professionals to support high-impact projects with leading AI labs and research organizations. We welcome professionals across biomedical engineering, biotechnology, medical devices, synthetic biology, tissue engineering, biomechanics, biomaterials, and related disciplines. Freelancers will apply their expertise to evaluate, refine, and verify AI-generated outputs tied to biology-driven engineering and healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate AI-generated analyses on biomaterials, tissue engineering, or biomechanics

• Evaluate medical device concepts and regulatory considerations for feasibility and compliance

• Provide structured feedback on biological modeling, biostatistical methods, and experimental design

• Stress-test AI outputs on case studies spanning synthetic biology, bioinformatics, and therapeutic development

• Tag and organize content by subfield (e.g., medical devices, biomaterials, biomechanics, biotech applications)

• Support benchmarking to assess AI model capabilities in biomedical and bioengineering domains

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields

• Degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s minimum; advanced degree preferred)

• Familiarity with medical devices, biomaterials, biostatistics, or synthetic biology workflows

• Hands-on research or product development experience in labs, clinics, or biotech/medtech companies

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FDA, CE, ISO standards) is a plus

• Strong communication skills with ability to provide clear, structured technical feedback

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 1–2 months

• Commitment: Part-time (15–25 hours/week, with flexibility up to 40 hours/week)

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
