Sociology Expert

Mercor is hiring experienced Sociology professionals to join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. This role involves contributing to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems designed to replicate real-world workflows across sociological theory, research methods, and applied practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and assess complex problems and tasks in sociology, ensuring coverage of core concepts, methods, and applied practices

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for conceptual accuracy, logical consistency, and relevance to real-world sociological applications

• Provide clear written feedback on sociology-related content and problem sets

Ideal Qualifications

• Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Sociology or a related social science field, or significant professional experience in applied sociology practice (e.g., research, consulting, publications)

• Deep subject-matter expertise in sociology, with strong knowledge of theories, research methods, and applications

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

• Prior teaching, research, or publication experience is a plus

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate

• Duration: 1–2 months

• Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.

• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
