Finance Analyst Expert

Mercor is hiring experienced Financial Analysts to join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. In this role, you’ll apply your financial expertise to help design, test, and refine advanced AI systems that replicate real-world finance workflows across Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Budgeting & Forecasting.

You’ll directly shape how AI handles critical financial tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow modeling, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated financial outputs for accuracy, completeness, and business relevance

• Calibrate forecasting models and scenario analyses to ensure financial soundness

• Simulate and audit workflows such as budgeting cycles, variance reporting, and cash flow monitoring

• Review and refine AI-produced financial plans and strategic documents, ensuring domain-specific precision

• Collaborate asynchronously with AI and product teams to improve the reliability of financial decision-making systems

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in related roles (FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, treasury) within established organizations

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration; advanced degrees (MBA) or certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) are a plus

• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

• Solid grasp of corporate financial planning processes, KPIs, and decision-making frameworks

• Excellent ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data through reports and presentations

• $80–$100 USD/hour, based on experience
