1. Role Overview Mercor is seeking skilled technical writers to collaborate on a series of content-focused projects with Fortune 500 companies and unicorn startups. These professionals will support AI systems by generating and validating high-quality technical documentation. This opportunity allows experts to apply their domain knowledge in a flexible, project-based setting. Most engagements are short to mid-term in duration.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and refine AI-generated technical content for clarity, accuracy, and structure

• Author new documentation across technical domains (e.g., product specs, API guides, internal wikis)

• Validate content against real-world standards and enterprise documentation styles

• Provide feedback on AI output to improve relevance and consistency

• Collaborate asynchronously with research and platform teams as needed

3. Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing or editing technical documentation, ideally within large tech companies or startups

• Proven ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible language

• Familiarity with structured documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Git, Confluence)

• Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment and domain fluency

• Background in engineering, product, or technical program management is a plus

Contract and Payment Terms

• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
