Contract Lawyer

Mercor is recruiting US-based, US-qualified commercial contracts attorneys for a research project with a leading AI company.

We are seeking experienced lawyers who are qualified to practice law in the United States and have professional experience in commercial or transactional law, including hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial contracts. The strongest candidates have both law-firm and in-house commercial contract experience and are comfortable reviewing counterparty paper against a company's standard positions or playbook. Candidates must be based in the United States.

This project will involve creating, reviewing, and evaluating realistic commercial contracts and company negotiation playbooks — including producing complete, senior-level redlines and the objective criteria used to evaluate the quality of AI-generated contract reviews — drawing on your experience with contract drafting, review, redlining, and negotiation.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
