AI Video Annotator

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented generalists to review and label AI-generated video content for a fast-scaling generative-video company. This is high-volume, on-demand annotation work — no professional film or editing background required, just a sharp eye, patience, and clear written English. You'll work in continuous batches and get faster and more accurate with the data over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compare AI-generated video edits and data pairs to detect, label, and describe issues and artifacts.

• Step through footage frame by frame to catch subtle visual defects.

• Scan content to surface new or previously unknown failure modes.

• Rate videos against defined criteria such as instruction-following and visual appeal.

• Write clear, well-reasoned notes explaining each judgment (the reasoning field matters).

• Turn work around reliably within defined batch timelines.

You're a strong fit if you have:

• A perceptive, detail-oriented eye and the patience to review content frame by frame.

• Clear written English and the ability to explain your reasoning concisely.

• Comfort working with digital video and a general understanding of AI-generated media.

• Reliability and discipline to deliver consistent quality across recurring, on-demand batches.

• No professional film, VFX, or editing experience required — this is a generalist role.

• Type: Part-time, ongoing / on-demand batches

• Engagement: Variable hours based on batch volume

• Work arrangement: Remote

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.

• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
