Multimodal Game Theory

Role Overview We are seeking experts in game theory to solve and evaluate multimodal reasoning tasks. You will analyze problems that may include text, payoff matrices, decision trees, diagrams, charts, graphs, images, or other visual materials, then produce clear, accurate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Solve game theory problems using both textual and visual information.

• Interpret payoff matrices, extensive-form games, strategic-form games, diagrams, and graphs.

• Identify Nash equilibria, dominant strategies, mixed strategies, subgame-perfect equilibria, and other solution concepts.

• Explain reasoning clearly and verify final answers.

• Flag ambiguous, incomplete, or inconsistent problem statements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in game theory, economics, mathematics, decision theory, or a related field.

• Ability to analyze strategic interactions rigorously.

• Experience with concepts such as equilibrium analysis, sequential games, auctions, bargaining, mechanism design, or repeated games.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
