Virtual Assistant Expert (AI Operations & Executive Support)

Mercor is working with a leading AI research lab to improve the capabilities of next-generation AI systems. We're looking for highly organised, detail-oriented Virtual Assistants to support executive workflows, business operations, and AI evaluation initiatives. Strong virtual assistants are increasingly valuable for AI workflows because they excel at coordinating information, managing priorities, conducting research, and ensuring operational excellence across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination across multiple time zones.

• Draft, proofread, and manage professional email communications.

• Conduct internet research and synthesise findings into concise reports and recommendations.

• Organise documents, databases, spreadsheets, and internal knowledge repositories.

• Track action items, follow-ups, and project deliverables to ensure timely completion.

• Prepare presentations, meeting agendas, summaries, and executive briefings.

• Coordinate travel arrangements, logistics, and scheduling when required.

• Perform data entry, quality assurance, and operational support tasks with high accuracy.

• Support AI research and evaluation workflows by reviewing outputs, documenting observations, and following structured processes.

• Handle sensitive information with professionalism and strict confidentiality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, or similar role.

• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Demonstrated experience supporting executives, founders, consultants, or business leaders.

• High attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or missing information.

• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

• Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Notion, Slack, Zoom, Airtable, Asana, ClickUp, or similar platforms.

• Reliable internet connection and ability to maintain consistent availability.

• Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting C-level executives, startup founders, or leadership teams.

• Background in consulting, operations, project management, or business administration.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar systems.

• Experience creating process documentation, SOPs, and workflow automation.

• Previous experience working with globally distributed teams.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
