Compliance & Financial Crime Domain Intake — Shape Upcoming Compliance Engagements

About This Survey

Mercor is opening a series of compliance and financial-crime engagements with leading AI labs over the coming weeks and months — spanning AML and BSA, KYC and client due diligence, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and financial crime investigation, securities and wealth compliance, conduct and surveillance, regulatory reporting, and compliance testing and assurance. Before we finalize the scope of each, we want to build them around how compliance professionals actually work, not how the field is described in textbooks or public sources.

This is a written intake designed to map out the real workflows, tools, decision points, and specialty cuts inside the profession — from the inside.

What You'll Do

• Complete a ~15 minute written intake about your compliance practice

• Describe your day-to-day workflows, how your time is split, and the workflows core to your role

• Explain how experienced practitioners actually divide the field from the inside — the cuts insiders use, not the textbook ones

• Tell us where AI already gets your work wrong, with concrete examples from your own casework

• Share the "invisible" parts of your work that outsiders (including project designers) tend to miss

• No right or wrong answers — detail and specificity matter far more than polish

Ideal Respondents

• Practicing or recently practicing compliance and financial-crime professionals — first line, second line, internal audit, or external advisory

• Any seat: KYC/CDD and client onboarding, transaction monitoring and AML investigations, sanctions and screening, fraud and disputes, trade and communications surveillance, conduct and consumer-protection compliance, regulatory reporting and change, compliance testing and assurance

• CAMS, CGSS, CFCS, CFE, CRCM, an ICA diploma, or FINRA registrations preferred; deep domain experience without a credential is equally welcome

• Willing to write detailed, specific responses about the mechanics of your work

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
