Business Development Contractors

We are seeking contractors to identify companies with valuable operational data and develop potential data-licensing partnerships. This external-facing role involves contacting founders and business owners, leading discovery calls, explaining partnership opportunities, and managing leads through signed agreements.

Ideal candidates are strong communicators who are comfortable with outbound outreach, senior stakeholders, and fast-moving sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and contact prospective data partners

• Lead discovery calls and communicate the value of a partnership

• Address questions about data use, privacy, security, and anonymization

• Manage opportunities from initial outreach through closing

• Coordinate partner onboarding with internal teams

Requirements

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales

• Confidence speaking with founders, executives, and business owners

• Availability to contribute up to 40 hours per week

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
