Discovery Interview — Professional Services Workflow Mapping

Mercor is inviting selected experts to complete a paid Discovery Interview, testing a new AI interviewer experience.

This is a broad, portfolio-level conversation rather than a deep dive into a single task. The interviewer will ask about the work your teams and portfolio carry:

• which processes consume the most time across your portfolio
• which are the most repetitive, and where persistent rework and pain sit
• what varies across clients, engagements and departments, and what stays constant
• what separates good execution from poor, and what tends to get caught in review
• which parts of the work must stay human, and what regulatory or evidentiary constraints apply
• where you would point a follow-up conversation to learn the most

Who we are looking for: professionals who have managed engagement teams or owned a book of work in professional services — external audit, tax, accounting advisory, risk, or consulting — at manager level or above. Current or recent experience at a public accounting or professional services firm is ideal. You do not need to be a partner; what matters is that you can speak to a portfolio of work rather than to a single task.

The interview takes approximately 45 minutes and is conducted by an AI interviewer in your browser. Participants receive a one-time $60 payment after the interview is completed and verified. Your personalized interview access link will be sent separately by Mercor.

We are testing the interviewer, not evaluating you. There are no right answers — a question that lands badly or misses the point is a useful finding for us.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
