French-Canadian Professional Voice Actor

Mercor is hiring French-Canadian Voice Actors to work directly with a leading AI lab, improving their model's ability to handle and produce audio data.

Professional experience in Voice Acting is greatly preferred but not required. We welcome people with speaking and audio experience through Music, Television, Podcasts, Twitch Streaming, Comedy, YouTube, Radio, or other related fields.

You must be a native speaker of Canadian French, born and raised in Canada.

You also need to be a proficient English speaker to ensure proper communication during the project.

Project logistics

• Participants are paid $300 USD per finished hour, based on the length of submitted audio.
• You'll need to commit between 2-10 hours per week.
• Rolling start — onboarding begins once your contract is accepted and ID verification clears.
• You will need to be available for a kickoff call.

Requirements

• Ability to speak in a "customer service" voice — neutral to upbeat tone, clear enunciation, consistent pacing.
• Close attention to punctuation, commas and dashes. It is very important that you record transcripts exactly as written, or edit them to reflect natural pacing.
• A professional audio recording setup: a home studio with a professional-grade microphone, soundproofing, an audio interface, a pop filter, and editing software for post-production.
• Submissions must be WAV, 44.1 kHz, mono, with under one second of silence at the start and end, and no audible breathing.

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
