Private Equity Associate – Infrastructure (US/UK)

Mercor is hiring experienced private equity associates to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack, then peer-review models built by two other contractors on the same transaction.

What you'll do

• Build a working financial model of an assigned infrastructure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack

• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions

• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard

Requirements

• 2–4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (infrastructure, power & utilities, or real estate / TMT M&A) followed by 1–2 years in infrastructure private equity

• Currently or recently an Associate at an infrastructure-focused PE fund, or the infrastructure arm of a multi-strategy manager

• Exposure to digital infrastructure — data centres, fibre, or towers

• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template

• Fluent English

Logistics

• Effort: ~20–25 hours over 1.5–2 weeks

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
